About FreeNotes

FreeNotes is a simple, lightweight note-taking app. Write notes, keep them private, or share them with anyone using a short link — with optional password protection.

Why FreeNotes?

  • Simple. No clutter, no distractions — just you and your notes.
  • Shareable. Make a note public and send the short link. Readers don't need an account.
  • Optional passwords. Add a password to a shared note so only people you choose can read it.
  • Rich text. Format your notes with headings, lists, quotes, code blocks, and links.
  • Flexible accounts. Sign up with your email, or continue with Google in one click.
  • Yours to manage. Your dashboard shows every note's state at a glance, in grid or list view, and you can delete anything at any time.

Getting started

Create a free account — with email or Google — write your first note, and save it. From the editor you can make any note public, copy its share link, and set a password to restrict who can view it. Forgot your password? A self-service reset link lands in your inbox.
